Meeting minutes for August 20, 2015
Members present: Peggy Lowell, Lynn Harhay; Jessi McCarthy, Director; absent: Janet Mullins
The chairman called the meeting to order at 3:59PM
Old Business
- July minutes were approved by a vote of 2-0
- Director’s report: attached
- -Book talk and magician Lisa Carver at Book Club
- -Ann Robbins has been trained as a substitute
- Building project: Carolanne McMaster of Auburn has offered to help run our needs assessment; Jessi will contact her to invite her to the September meeting
- Landscape and lawn care: The Trustees discussed Michael Thibeault’s proposal; since our budget doesn’t have the funds to do the entire project as proposed, there was discussion about doing parts of it ourselves; item was put on hold at this time
- Building maintenance: Jessi contacted Jolin about the porch repair and he will get to us when he has time; September 13, 9AM, is our ramp and ceiling painting date; Lynn will buy the paint from Howlett’s in Charlton
- Volunteers and fines/taxes work-off: Jessi had a volunteer application checked at Town Hall; she will ask Kelli about a tax write-off position, but it may need Town Meeting approval
- Fines amendment: Jessi will draft an amendment for the Trustees to vote on at the next meeting
- Bike rack: The new rack was ordered and is awaiting installation near the book drop
- Video return to book drop: This appears to be working; Jessi will check our current policy and amend it if necessary, with a vote to occur in September
